Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about how our services work? You’re in the right place.
At Favored Homecare Agency, we know that choosing care for yourself or a loved one comes with important decisions.
What services does Favored Homecare Agency provide?
We offer a wide range of in-home care services including personal care, companionship, respite care, 24/7 support, homemaking, medication reminders, meal preparation, post-surgery care, wound care, and specialized memory care for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia. We also provide CPR training and certification for individuals and professionals.
Who do you provide care for?
We provide care for seniors, individuals recovering from surgery, adults with chronic illnesses, clients with memory loss or physical disabilities, and anyone in need of trusted support at home. Our services are also available to family caregivers who need temporary relief.
Are your caregivers trained and certified?
Yes. Our caregivers go through a rigorous hiring process, background checks, and are trained in personal care, safety procedures, and specialized care (including dementia and fall prevention). Many of our caregivers are CNAs or experienced aides with years of professional service.
Can I request a caregiver based on gender, language, or personality?
Absolutely. We do our best to match each client with a caregiver who fits their personal preferences and care needs. Let us know what matters most to you during the intake process.
What is included in homemaker services?
Our homemaker services include light housekeeping, laundry, dishwashing, grocery shopping, errand running, and keeping living areas clean and safe. We help maintain a healthy, organized environment for daily living.
What areas do you serve?
We proudly serve families across 10 counties in the Metro Atlanta area, including Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Henry, Fayette, Gwinnett, Rockdale, Cobb, Douglas, and Cherokee.
How quickly can services start?
In most cases, we can begin care within 24–72 hours after consultation. For urgent needs, such as hospital discharges or emergencies, we offer expedited start times whenever possible.
Do you offer 24-hour or overnight care?
Yes. We offer both 24/7 care and live-in care options for clients who need round-the-clock supervision and support. These services are ideal for individuals with advanced care needs, memory loss, or families needing peace of mind.
How does respite care work?
Respite care is short-term support that allows family caregivers to take a break. We step in and provide care during your time away, whether for a few hours, a full weekend, or a vacation. Your loved one remains safe, comfortable, and cared for at home.
Can you help with post-surgery recovery or wound care?
Yes. We offer post-operative care to assist with hygiene, mobility, meal prep, and medication reminders. We also provide basic wound care support under the direction of a healthcare provider.
